Guided by a strategy to become a multidisciplinary and sustainable university, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) remains deeply committed to fostering sustainable development in society and education. To fulfill its mission of 'Connecting the Community - Spreading Knowledge - Driving Sustainable Action,' UEH has undertaken a wide range of initiatives. In addition to offering training, research, and consultancy services, UEH organizes short talk shows aimed at supporting the business community in transitioning from traditional to sustainable business models.
A notable example is the 'Trade Promotion 2025' program, held on January 9, 2025, at the Nam Long Waterpoint Urban Area in Ben Luc District, Long An Province. Co-organized by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Trade & Investment Promotion Club and Doanh Nhan Sai Gon Newspaper, the event attracted a diverse array of businesses, experts, and organizations dedicated to socio-economic development. At the invitation of the organizers, UEH contributed to the program by having its experts deliver a concise presentation on the topic, 'Sustainable Development: Business Adaptation Strategies, Challenges, and Solutions.'
The content presented focuses on providing foundational knowledge about sustainable development (SD), exploring public policy trends, and examining evolving investment and consumption models in the new context. It also addresses business adaptation strategies to navigate market and societal changes effectively. Additionally, the discussion emphasizes the barriers and challenges businesses encounter and proposes practical solutions for achieving sustainable growth.
By participating in the 'Trade Promotion 2025' program in Long An, UEH reaffirms its commitment to contributing and disseminating knowledge for sustainable development. The university continues to support businesses in enhancing awareness and adopting responsible practices that benefit the environment, society, and the economy."
